Elizabeth Rhode, Visitor Experience Manager at Sutton Hoo talks to Rosemary Hoppitt about the new display at the National Trust site near Woodbridge.  In the last few weeks the reconstruction of an Anglo-Saxon king’s burial chamber has been re-engineered to allow visitors to enter and walk through.  The changes will enable people to experience what it may have been like on the day of burial as the dead king was placed in within the ship and surrounded by symbols of his kingship, his wealth, weaponry and war-gear and personal possessions.
