The Gloucestershire Echo’s chief football writer, Jon Palmer, was back on the show to discuss the latest at Football League side Cheltenham Town following the end of the January transfer window in what has been a season described recently by chairman Paul Baker as a ‘blip’.

Palmer reflected on Cheltenham’s January transfer dealings and discussed potential loan additions ahead of the opening of the loan window. He also discussed Mark Yates offer of a new two-year contract by the club and some growing frustration from supporters over performances and ambition at the club this season.

There is also an interview with Forest Green Rovers manager Ady Pennock on the programme as well as the latest from Shortwood United and Brimscombe & Thrupp too.

Forest Green Rovers number seven James Norwood was live on the phone to discuss his recent goal scoring form which has seen him reach 13 goals with several months of the season to go still. The England C international also reflected on the recent departure of Reece Styche, his hopes of getting into the Football League, how Rovers new playing style suits them on any playing surface and whether or not the squad still harbour ambitions of making the play-offs.

Rovers boss Ady Pennock was additionally on interview speaking to Neil Munro after this team’s excellent 3-0 win over Chester last time out.

The show also caught up on the latest transfer talk towards the end of the January deadline from some of Rovers league rivals and local rivals too.

Also on the show there is the latest from Shortwood United and their drive up the Southern League South & West Division table plus their transfer news too. There is also the latest from Brimscombe & Thrupp, who have signed two players, as well as Slimbridge too.
